Day 2: Arusha National Park and explore everything it has to offer
After your morning arrival you will be whisked away from the airport to our boutique lodgings located in the heart Arusha via private transfer. All rooms are air-conditioned, and brightly decorated. After some time to relax and freshen up, experience one of the highlights of your tour – journey to Arusha National Park and enjoy a full day exploring everything it has to offer, from diverse wildlife to amazing scenery. You’ll marvel at the beauty of the Ngurdoto crater, set in the midst of the forest and whose rugged cliffs enclose a marsh that is home to buffalos and warthogs. Keep an eye out for blue monkeys, colourful turacos and trogons, rare black-and-white colobus monkeys, giraffes, zebras, leopards, and spotted hyenas be ready to take spectacular pictures of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru both dominating the park’s horizon.
Day 3: Animal wildlife & amazing scenery
After breakfast we head to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is a scenic gem of Tanzania; from the park’s entrance gate, travel along a road that winds its way through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest. We see large troops of Baboons that frequently lounge nonchalantly along the road side, or blue monkeys scampering nimbly through the ancient mahogany trees.
Contrasting with the intimacy of the forest is the grassy floodplain and its expansive views eastward, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Maasai Steppes. We’ll witness the large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds that congregate on these grassy plains. Manyara National Park provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
Day 4: Picnic at Mount Kilimanjaro
We depart from your hotel in a 7-seat safari vehicle for Kilimanjaro National Park Gate at Marangu. Today we Hike Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro; not only is Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa but it is also the tallest free-standing mountain on earth. We trek through lush forest to Mandara Hut at 9,022 feet (2,750 m) here we settle and have a picnic lunch whilst you will have the most amazing views overlooking Mawenzi, Kibo and the wide plain of the Masai steppe.
